چکیده
In this work, the principle of (Friction Stir Welding ,FSW) process used to produce spot welded lap joint aluminum sheets with (2.5 mm) thickness sheet different welding parameters. Different rotational speed have been selected show effect change, tool was (710, 900, 1400 RPM) same time (15 sec.). Another experiment conducted and (30 sec) time. Mechanical microstructural properties joints studied also. Results that; there is an optimum for maximum shear stress when all other parameters are constant .The results grain size in stirred zone smaller than that parent material which improve weld properties. Based on study obtained, welds can be produced using good mechanical sheets.

متن کاملExperimental Investigations on Microstructural and Mechanical Behavior of Friction Stir Welded Aluminum Matrix Composite
The welding of materials by applying Friction Stir Welding technique is a new solid-state joining technique. The main advantage of this method compared to the traditional joining process is that it minimizes problem-related to metal resolidification as the method incorporates no melting phase. In this experimental work, the effect of friction stir welding (FSW) technique on the microstructu...

Friction stir welding (FSW) is a new and promising welding process that can produce low-cost and high-quality joints of heat-treatable aluminum alloys because it does not need consumable filler materials and can eliminate some welding defects such as crack and porosity. In order to demonstrate the friction stir weldability of the 2017-T351 aluminum alloy and determine optimum welding parameters...

The present study was carried out to evaluate how the friction stir spot welding (FSSW) process parameters affect the temperature distribution in the welding region, the welding forces and the mechanical properties of the joints. The experimental study was performed by means of a CNC machine tool obtaining FSSW lap joints on AA7050 aluminum alloy plates. Three thermocouples were inserted into t...
